PROJECTS
The Vineyard Landscapes' Museum
A place to safeguard and share the memory of the UNESCO site.
The project, funded under Law 77/2006 – Financial Year 2021 of the Italian Ministry of Culture, led to the creation of the Museum of Vineyard Landscapes of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato, based in Alba.
This museum is designed to collect, preserve and enhance historical and contemporary materials and testimonies related to the wine-growing tradition of the UNESCO site.
A place conceived to bring memory and future into dialogue, through accessible tools and shared content.
The museum will host an audiovisual archive, photographic collections and multimedia materials derived from research activities, community interviews, historical archives and educational projects.
Its goal is to safeguard the tangible and intangible heritage of the territory, weaving culture, knowledge and local identity into a plural and dynamic narrative, available to students, scholars, professionals and citizens alike.
The museum is part of a broader strategy for the protection and enhancement of the cultural landscape.
It is interconnected with regional and national projects and represents a permanent hub for heritage education, cultural innovation and the participation of local communities.
The Museum of Vineyard Landscapes is an invitation to observe, learn, share and transmit the richness of the UNESCO territory — a point of reference for all who live in, travel through and study these hills.
