Protecting a landscape is a joint effort.
The members of the Association for the Vineyard Landscapes of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato form a living network that works tirelessly every day to protect, promote and pass on this extraordinary, UNESCO-recognised heritage to future generations.
Public bodies, local organisations, trade associations, cultural institutions and companies – not just those tied to the wine industry – as well as citizens, all play their own role in keeping the bond between the territory, community and landscape alive.
The Association for the Heritage of Piedmont's Vineyard Landscapes is backed by a strong network of public bodies and private entities that share a commitment to protecting and enhancing the UNESCO site.
It currently includes:
• 136 member municipalities
• 96 private members
• 4 founding members
– Piedmont Region
– Province of Alessandria
– Province of Asti
– Province of Cuneo
This widespread participation demonstrates the collective importance of UNESCO recognition and the strong connection between the territory and its community.
Becoming a member of the Association means embracing a shared vision of a landscape encompassing culture, memory, labour and beauty. It is a tangible commitment to the area's future that respects its identity and the needs of future generations.
