Langhe-Roero and Monferrato have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 22 June 2014.
This recognition is based on two key elements:
– A deep-rooted bond between people and the environment has developed over time, based on harmony, awareness and respect for the landscape.
- A vibrant and widespread wine culture permeates social life, the landscape, the economy and local traditions.
The site's uniqueness lies in the dynamic coexistence of nature and human intervention. This balance has shaped the hills without altering them, creating a coherent, ever-changing shared landscape.
Langhe, Roero and Monferrato do not merely recount the beauty of the territory; they embody it. They encourage you to slow down and appreciate how vineyards can represent memory, identity and everyday life.
Every new vine that is planted represents a promise for the future, a dream entrusted to the earth, to human hands and to time.
This landscape regenerates itself in accordance with the natural rhythm of the seasons and the rhythm of the community that lives there.
To recognise its value is to take care of it, creating harmonious and sustainable environments that will welcome future generations.
