On Friday, October 10, at 6:00 p.m., the Giorgio Faletti Library will host the presentation of Renata Sorba's book Una crociera sensoriale (A Sensory Cruise).
The book is inspired by a Mediterranean cruise taken by the author last September. The aim is to help those who have the gift of sight understand how a person with sensory disabilities can travel, relying on the memories of a former sighted person and making the most of their other senses: hearing, smell, taste, and touch. It is a work that aims to “open the eyes” to an often unknown world, transforming reading into an immersive experience.
A significant detail that enriches the project is the cover, created thanks to the valuable contribution of some inmates at the Quarto d'Asti prison.
All proceeds from the sale of the book will also be donated to APRI ASTI to support the association's activities.
Admission to the presentation, which will be held in the Sala Colonne of the Asti Library, is free.
