ATACAMA COMPANY THE LAST MAN The show The Last Man (Atacama Company, debuting 2025) poetically and critically reflects on contemporary society, marked by hyperproductivity, competition, and isolation. Inspired by Byung-Chul Han's The Society of Tiredness, it explores how the modern individual exploits himself to the point of burnout, becoming a "performance machine." Through references to the myth of Prometheus and the concept of "healing tiredness," the piece proposes an alternative path: slowing down, rediscovering emptiness, and recovering a human space for listening and awareness. ARTEMIS DANCE IN THE HEART OF THE LABYRINTH A contemporary dance solo that reinterprets the figure of the Minotaur as a metaphor for fragmented identity and internal conflict. Through the use of masks created and worn by the performer himself, the body is transformed into a plural creature, suspended between instinct and consciousness. A physical and symbolic journey into the labyrinth of the human soul, where monstrosity and vulnerability mirror each other. RICKY BONAVITA / COMPAGNIA EXCURSUS DESERTICA It is a choreographic tableau with an essential and hypnotic aesthetic. The scene opens on a female figure in a deep sleep, reminiscent of abandon and expectation. Upon awakening, movement ripples across the dunes, her body moving as if drawn by distant horizons in a dialogue with the void; her loose hair becomes a living scenic element: a natural veil that often hides her face, a beauty that seeks not the gaze, but rather the listening of itself. The energy of the movement, after reaching peaks of vibrant intensity, slowly declines towards the initial stillness, suggesting that every journey is nothing more than the space between two silences. CINQUEMINUTI APS / ZA DANCEWORKS FAUN / PRELUDE The faun is a figure that lives outside of the regulated context and the relationship between space and function. He lies in a dreamlike state between submissive weakness and uncontrollable euphoria: he seeks pleasure, rejects the economy of success, production, and excellence, living in an eternal "prelude" that never resolves into ecstasy, triumph, or success, but continues to return obsessively. His body never takes on a definitive form, just as his quest never reaches full fulfillment. His hybrid identity represents the unstable and unresolved identity of the current time, in which we live immersed in an eternal present without any point of reference.
