Camminare il Monferrato, the walking series promoted by the Sacro Monte di Crea Reserve and the Monferrato municipalities, invites everyone to follow the route proposed by the Municipality of Cella Monte for Sunday, June 7th. This circular route, approximately 8 kilometers long, begins in the hamlet of Coppi, home to one of the Pro Loco offices, near the "Picnic Area" located immediately after the small church of San Giuseppe. The meeting is scheduled for 2:45 PM, with departure at 3 PM. Mayor Maurizio Deevasis and the route organizers will welcome participants and bring greetings from the community. The walk will head toward the chapel of Sant'Anna, passing alongside the vineyard lined with colored pencils, to reach the beautiful Belvedere residence, recently renovated. Here, visitors can admire the "shell barn": a rural building whose corners preserve whole shells, evidence of the sea that covered this area 15-16 million years ago. After leaving the site, the hike will descend into the valley and pass near the Valtegna farmhouse, then climb to Cella Monte, following the dirt road that leads to Regione Fornace. The hike will pass through the historic center of Cella Monte, then descend back into the valley, following the paved road towards Varocara. A final uphill stretch will lead hikers to the starting point, where the Pro Loco will bid farewell to participants with a pleasant refreshment. The group of participants will be accompanied by a professional guide who will point out the interesting sights along the route. This service will be provided by Bruno Anna Maria. In case of bad weather, please call +39 328 0911129 on Sunday morning to confirm your reservation.
