Walking Monferrato is offering the "Pinocchio Walk" on Sunday, April 19th, in San Maurizio, a hamlet of Conzano. The Municipality of Conzano is celebrating the bicentenary of the birth of Carlo Collodi, the author of Pinocchio, and will dedicate the exhibition "Artists and Collectors for Pinocchio" to him. The exhibition will be hosted at Villa Vidua, with the inauguration scheduled for the afternoon of Sunday, May 10th. This circular route, nearly 8 km long, will begin in Piazza Banda Lenti at 3:00 PM, with the meeting point at 2:45 PM. Participants will be welcomed by Mayor Emanuele Demaria and the route organizers. After leaving the square, the route will cross the town along Via Ronchi, then enter the rural area. The route will continue for over three kilometers on Strada Cavallari, a flat dirt road that crosses provincial road no. 67 several times. At the end of the flat route, we'll continue uphill until we reach Cascina Colma: a large farmhouse located between the municipalities of Conzano and Occimiano, where we'll make a short stop. Leaving the farmhouse behind us, we'll cross the village and return to the starting point, where a delicious meal prepared by Stefano Miglietta of the Le Terre Rosse restaurant will be served. Participants will be accompanied by a qualified nature guide who, at designated stops, will explain the unique features of this area. This service will be provided by Bruno Anna Maria.
