"A dive into history – a 2,000-year journey" – takes visitors to the city's most ancient roots, all the way back to the Roman era and the ancient Aquae Statiellae. Walking among archaeological remains, mosaics, and ancient baths, one senses the passing of the centuries and the daily life of bygone days. The public fountain, the potter's house, the amphitheater, and the Roman pool allow one to imagine the daily life of the citizens of that era, while the Archaeological Museum in the Paleologi Castle extends the narrative to prehistory and the Middle Ages, creating a picture of historical continuity linking past and present. At the end of the tour, a toast will be offered in the evocative cellars of the Enoteca Regionale.
