Evening visit to the village of Conzano and the exhibition "Artists & Collectors for Pinocchio" Lighting of the light sculptures Friday, June 19, 9:00 PM – Piazza Australia "The Land of Toys" evening visit to the village of Conzano and the exhibition "Artists & Collectors for Pinocchio" is the new program organized by the Municipality of Conzano for the evening of Friday, June 19. This initiative is part of the "Muse Diffuse" program and is also open to children, teenagers, and family groups. "Pinocchio by Night" will begin at 9:00 PM, meeting in Piazza Australia. This special guided tour of the village of Conzano and the exhibition "Artists & Collectors for Pinocchio – 200 Years after the Birth of Carlo Collodi" is on display in Villa Vidua. This rich exhibition features works of art, collections, and exhibits dedicated to the protagonist of "The Adventures of Pinocchio," the world's most famous Italian fictional character. The already extraordinary exhibition program includes "light" sculptures by architect Enrica Martinetti, displayed in Piazza Australia, which will be lit up for this special occasion. The evening tour will be led by Anna Maria Bruno, a licensed tour guide, and the collections' protagonists: the mayor of Conzano, Emanuele Demaria, Giuseppe Chiatellino, Cesare Barone, and Graziella Maule. It will be a collaborative event with the participation of many protagonists, including some of the artists exhibiting in the exhibition: Mauro Galfrè, who has created illustrations and sculptures for the exhibition, including a new addition: a perforated, assembled, and painted wooden sculpture depicting the encounter of the blue whale with Pinocchio amidst the rough waves. Another protagonist will be Vittorio Valente, whose works are exhibited in Conzano along the Promenade des Artistes, as in the Pinocchio exhibition. Valente is a sculptor who has created an original artistic language, materializing his colorful figures with the innovative use of silicone. And among the protagonists, Giovanni Tamburelli, blacksmith-sculptor, poet, and fable writer, could not be missed. He knows how to make "the fairy tale" tangible with iron. An honorary citizen of Conzano, his golden Pinocchio has stood proudly on the balcony of Villa Vidua for years, supporting a small red whale on his long nose. And through the voice of Conzano native Jolanda Restano, the story of the legendary puppet's success will unfold, accompanied by the many curiosities that have made him famous throughout the world. Participation is free. For information, call the municipal offices at 0142 925132.
