The forty-fourth edition of the StraCasale will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, starting and finishing in Piazza Castello. This non-competitive charity race will support Anffas (Italian Federation of Italian Federations of Cancer Research) and the Piedmont Foundation for Cancer Research (Candiolo). The race is organized by Personal Gym SSD in collaboration with the City of Casale Monferrato. This year's new edition, in addition to being held on Sunday, will focus on the theme of health, understood as prevention, well-being, and social responsibility. With this in mind, the Health Village will be set up at the Pavia Market, created in collaboration with the Casale Red Cross, Misericordia Casale, and Croce Verde Casale, who will oversee its installation and furnishings. This space will be open to all, freely accessible to anyone who wishes to participate and take advantage of the services offered. Within the Village, guests will have free access to a wide range of prevention and health information activities: - Oncology area, with screenings, visits, and information sessions, thanks to the presence of specialists from A.N.D.O.S. and the Piedmont Foundation for Cancer Research – Candiolo Institute IRCCS; - Cardiology area, the "Oasi della Salute" (Health Oases), a cardiovascular prevention project promoted by the Piedmont Region throughout the region, under the scientific direction of Dr. Federico Nardi, Director of Cardiology at Santo Spirito Hospital in Casale Monferrato and Director of the Medical Department of the Alessandria Local Health Authority: visits and tests for a free, comprehensive cardiovascular screening, risk assessment, consultations, and promotion of healthy lifestyles with doctors, pharmacists, and experts. Organized by Contatto Events in collaboration with the ASL AL; - Organized by the ASL AL – Casale District, Food Hygiene and Nutrition Service (SIAN), with nutritional counseling including an assessment of anthropometric measurements, thanks to the presence of a nutrition biologist and dietitian; group diabetes counseling, focused on healthy lifestyles and diabetes prevention; and the Pathological Addictions Service (SERD), with Hepatitis C (HCV) screening and dedicated information activities. Basic checkups and additional in-depth sessions dedicated to promoting healthy and conscious lifestyles will also be available. The Pavia Market will be the hub of the entire day, where all the event activities will take place, with the start and finish of the races located in the surrounding area and immediately adjacent to the facility, and numerous collateral activities: sports, entertainment, activities, and spaces dedicated to families. The race will unfold through the streets of the historic city center, with two distinct sections: the children's start at 11:00 a.m. and the adults' start at 12:00 p.m., covering 2 and 6 kilometers, respectively, confirming the event's inclusive nature. The "Kid's Games" will also begin at 9:00 a.m. These fun and sports activities for younger participants will be organized in collaboration with several local organizations, including Olympia Basket 2000, ASD Casale, and ASD Canottieri. The basketball, soccer, and tennis courts will be available for use. For younger participants, bracelets for the children's category (from first grade to eighth grade) can be picked up starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Bcube point (Salone Tartara). Adults, however, will not need a bracelet; simply wearing the official t-shirt will suffice. Inside the Pavia Market, in addition to numerous collateral activities, there will also be an area entirely dedicated to children, called the Epta Kids Area, designed to offer moments of leisure, creativity, and entertainment in a safe and engaging environment. The area will be equipped with a team of qualified entertainers, recognizable by their branded clothing, who will accompany children in various fun and recreational activities throughout the day. Among the activities planned: face painting, clown and balloon entertainment, traveling shows with stilt walkers and jugglers, moments of light magic, music, and entertainment. There will also be workshops dedicated to creativity and educational play, such as the BRICKS workshop with 20 stations and the "CreiAMO" workshop, as well as the use of stage effects such as the bubble shooter, designed to enhance the experience for the youngest participants. The entertainment will also be organized on a mobile basis, with moments of public engagement spread throughout the day, contributing to a dynamic and festive atmosphere throughout the event area. This additional offering fits perfectly with the inclusive spirit of StraCasale, strengthening the focus on families and making the event increasingly accessible and participatory for all age groups. Special attention will also be paid to conviviality: the food area will offer the opportunity to enjoy a comfortable seated lunch thanks to the Pro Loco Casale and the street food by Arts Burger. The menus will be published on the event's official channels, making the lunch break an integral part of the StraCasale experience. The Mayor of Casale Monferrato, Emanuele Capra, stated: "The StraCasale is an event that, over time, has become a stable point of reference for the city, maintaining a strong sense of sociality and participation. Its value goes beyond the sporting aspect: it is a moment in which the community comes together around shared goals, such as solidarity and concrete support for organizations engaged in healthcare and social services. Over the years, the event has also gradually taken on the characteristics of a true city festival, combining sport, entertainment, and opportunities for widespread social interaction, engaging an increasingly broad and diverse audience. The decision to hold it, for the first time, on a Sunday represents a significant step in this direction, as it encourages broader and more diverse participation, strengthening the sense of belonging and community that has always characterized this initiative. Making this edition even more significant is the concurrence with Golosaria, a happy co-presence that further enriches the overall experience of the event." Deputy Mayor of Casale Monferrato, Luca Novelli, added: "Alongside the social aspect, this edition decisively introduces a key element: health as a central theme. The Health Village represents a concrete opportunity for information and prevention, accessible to all, which also makes the StraCasale a tool for disseminating and raising awareness on key issues. The coordinated presence of local organizations, associations, and professionals demonstrates important networking, capable of translating the values of solidarity into useful and tangible actions for citizens." To participate in the event, you must purchase the official StraCasale t-shirt for €10. This purchase entitles you to pick up your race pack at the designated stand on the day of the event, which includes an official StraCasale bag, a bottle of water, an energy bar, mineral salts, and other goodies.
