On Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM, the exhibition "Under Observation" by Giorgio Grosso and Piergiorgio Panelli will open in the former chapel of the Monferrato Castle. The project unfolds through an exhibition that brings painting and sculpture into dialogue on the theme of the transformation of matter. Recycled plastic and abstract pictorial language become tools for reinterpreting reality, in a journey that invites reflection on the environment, perception, and the constant shift between form and meaning. Giorgio Grosso, 65, from Asti, after studying at the Accademia Albertina in Turin, worked in graphic design and fine art screen printing, before moving on to image, advertising, and design. Today, he pursues artistic research focused on the recycling of plastic materials, with a sculptural practice developed through experiences ranging from figurative to informal. He has exhibited in Italy and abroad. Piergiorgio Panelli, born in Casale Monferrato in 1961, is an artist and art critic who specialized in contemporary art history in Turin. He exhibited at a young age at the Promotrice delle Belle Arti in Turin at the invitation of Albino Galvano, and in 1988 he met Bruno Munari. Curator and creator of "Arteinfiera," he has collaborated with institutions and artists such as Enrico Colombotto Rosso. His research ranges from abstract expressionist painting to installations on the abandoned everyday, focusing on the relationship between man and nature and the theme of slowness. The exhibition will be open to the public free of charge until June 28, 2026, during the usual opening hours of the Castello del Monferrato: Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
