“Open Play Sport” with “New Skin”

On Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, "Open Play Sport" will be held at the Via Comello Park. This event is dedicated to non-competitive sports and is part of the "New Skin" program, promoted by the City of Casale Monferrato as part of the "Work & Play" project. The day will give all participants the opportunity to try arm wrestling, street football, basketball, soapy mundialito, rugby, foosball, yoga, and chess. Other activities and spaces dedicated to young people will also be available throughout the day, including the Monfreestyle Traveling Playroom, the Centro Educativo Diffuso, the OES Casale, Olympia Fight Club, Le Tre Rose Rugby, Campus Monferrato ssdrl, the Conte Carlo Cozio Chess Club, and the Panisium food truck. The initiative is part of the "New Skin" program, created thanks to the contribution of the Piedmont Region through the "Piemonte per i Giovani" call for proposals and developed by the City of Casale Monferrato in collaboration with the Vedogiovane social cooperative and a local network of schools, associations, services, and educational organizations. The project, aimed at young people between the ages of 16 and 25, will offer activities dedicated to participation, socialization, training, and personal growth throughout 2026. "'New Skin' continues to offer opportunities designed by young people and for young people, promoting languages and forms of aggregation capable of engaging and building relationships. With this initiative dedicated to free and non-competitive sport, the social and recreational values of different disciplines are highlighted, creating new opportunities for interaction among young people," stated Irene Caruso, Councilor for Social and Family Policies.
