From March 21, 2026 to May 10, 2026 On Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 4:30 PM, the exhibition of Lucia Caprioglio's graphic works, titled "Forgotten Images" - A Tribute to the Great Musician Claude Debussy, will open. The works will be on display until May 10, 2026, at the "Saloni Morano" exhibition space on Via Vercella in Rosignano Monferrato. The inaugural event—sponsored by the Municipality of Rosignano Monferrato—will be introduced by a musical and visual performance by the Piano Bifronte Piano Duo. A critical presentation by musicologist Professor Enzo Restagno will be included in the catalog, available to visitors. The exhibition showcases the graphic works of artist Lucia Caprioglio, in which she draws freely from Claude Debussy, a musician and pianist who lived in the early 20th century, considered one of the greatest composers of all time and a leading figure in musical symbolism. In the works presented in Rosignano Monferrato—all created in 2025—the artist distances herself from the classical rules of printmaking, introducing fusions between painting, graphics, and printing methods. She abandons the idea of repetitiveness typical of printmaking, also creating monotypes and reserves (second prints without inking). In creating her works, Lucia Caprioglio uses different types of plates: zinc, Plexiglas, cardboard, linoleum, employing the techniques of aquatint, drypoint, and relief, also painting directly on the plate and printing colors in overlapping layers, as well as inserting fragments of backgrounds and other materials. The titles of the works refer to the music by Debussy that inspired the artist.
