On Saturday, September 5th, the exhibition "CHROMATIC GEOMETRIES," a solo show by artist Lucio Mayoor Tosi, opens at the Saloni Morano in Rosignano Monferrato. The opening will be at 5:00 PM, introducing an eclectic artist who has already made a name for himself. The artist will be introduced by renowned art critic Professor Giuseppe Castelli. Lucio Tosi was born in Brescia and moved to Milan, where he studied and graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. A poet and painter, he has worked as an advertising art director and freelance illustrator. In 2013, he moved to Candia Lomellina, where he still lives and works amid the tranquility of the rice paddies, dedicating himself entirely to art and meditation (he is a disciple of Osho) and deepening his knowledge of Zen philosophy. His art is influenced by this: after experimenting with various approaches to abstract and informal painting, in 2024 he began a new cycle of paintings that inventively combine Eastern philosophy and pop art. The union generates abstract art forms with bright colors where emptiness is the protagonist, but also restlessness, the fragile existential balance that aesthetic research can convey, perhaps more than many words. Professor Giuseppe Castelli writes: "The title "Chromatic Geometries" only partially reflects the characteristics of Tosi's work. Certainly, the geometric figure predominates on the canvas, but it does not appear as a complete negation of any possible expressive communication between the artist and the viewer of the painting, an impossibility of making painting and a rejection of its value."
