Art Exhibition

13th June - 26th July · Guarene

To mark the 200th anniversary of the invention of photography, the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation presents, from June 13 to July 26, 2026, at Palazzo Re Rebaudengo in Guarene, the photography exhibition *Before it Happens*, a project curated by Filippo Maggia that brings together eight international artists united by a practice that employs the language of images—photography, moving image, and hybrid installation practices—as a primary tool for political, social, and cultural inquiry.

Artists:
Alia Farid, Hit Man Gurung, Vinit Gupta, Uzma Mohsin, Musuk Nolte, Ashfika Rahman, Sheelasha Rajbhandari, Ishan Tankha

Palazzo Re Rebaudengo, Piazza Roma, Guarene (CN)
Opening: June 13, 2026, 6:00 p.m. – At 7:00 p.m., unveiling of works by Mario Airò and Susan Philipsz at the Parco d’arte in Guarene

Exhibition hours: Saturdays and Sundays, 12:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.
Free admission

On Sunday, June 28, and Saturday, July 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Foundation’s art cultural mediators will host “Let’s Talk”: two sessions designed for small groups to visit the exhibition together, delve deeper into the themes of the works and the artist’s practice, and share an experience characterized by the Foundation’s customary approach to art cultural mediation. Participants can explore the exhibition space in an informal setting, taking part in an activity focused on dialogue and the exchange of thoughts, perspectives, and opinions.  Together, we will explore the work of photographers who examine issues central to many countries in the Global South, traveling through India, Nepal, Peru, and Iran to delve into themes of social and political significance.

Participation is open to everyone and free of charge. Reservations are recommended by calling +39 011-3797631 or by emailing biglietteria@fsrr.org with the subject line “Let’s Talk Guarene,” and please include a contact phone number.
