“Maio 3vs3” 2026

On Saturday, June 27, 2026, starting at 9:30 a.m. at Campetto Buzzi on Viale XIII Martiri della Libertà in Casale Monferrato, the "Maio 3vs3" basketball tournament will be held, a sporting and charitable event in memory of Vittorio Maiorana. The participation fee for each team, which may include players over the age of 16, is €50, and the proceeds will be donated to the Cardiology Department of Santo Spirito Hospital in Casale Monferrato. The initiative is being promoted by a group of former teammates from CB Team and Junior Casale, born in 1995, who reunited after Vittorio's passing in the summer of 2024. Known by all as "Maio," Vittorio, who worked professionally within the Marazzato Group, was a much-loved 29-year-old, devoted to his friends and sports, especially basketball and skiing. "A good, cheerful person, always ready to give without asking for anything in return," the organizers say. The tournament will take place according to the traditional format: the groups will be played in the morning, followed by the knockout stage in the afternoon. At the end, the top three teams will receive awards, with prizes donated by Prize Sponsors Zerbinati, Krumiri Rossi, and Cascina Faletta. Marazzato sponsored the commemorative T-shirts available for purchase during the event, various merchandise, and launched an online fundraiser on the GoFundMe platform. The organization's partners are CB Team Basket, Arts Burger, Bazzi Partners Insurance, and Repetti Blindature, Zerbinati, Krumiri Rossi, and Cascina Faletta. The Mayor of Casale Monferrato, Emanuela Capra, and Deputy Mayor, Luca Novelli, jointly declared: "The 'Maio 3vs3' tournament represents a concrete example of how sport can transform into an opportunity for remembrance, participation, and solidarity.
