International Poetry Competition "City of Acqui Terme" – Awards and Festival

DANIELA PADOAN – FERTILE MEMORY – The Political Teachings of the Mothers of the Desaparecidos. A conference dedicated to memory and resistance, through the story of the mothers of the Desaparecidos and their extraordinary commitment against the Argentine dictatorial regime. Introduced by: Cecilia Ghelli. Daniela Padoan, writer and essayist, explores themes such as the Holocaust and female resistance to oppressive regimes in her works, documentaries, and interviews. On the subject of the Holocaust, she published Come una rana d’inverno. Conversazioni con tre donne sopravvisute ad Auschwitz, with Liliana Segre, Goti Bauer, and Giuliana Tedeschi (latest edition Einaudi 2024). Between 2007 and 2008, she produced the documentaries La Shoah delle donne and Dalle leggi razziali alla Shoah for Rai 3. In 2005, she won the Martoglio Prize for Journalism with Le pazze. An Encounter with the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo (Bompiani, 2004), a multi-voiced narrative based on the testimonies of women who opposed the Argentine dictatorship. She also dedicated the Rai 3 documentaries "La piazza delle Madri dal fazzoletto bianco" and "Le Madri di Plaza de Mayo" to this topic. Throughout her career as a journalist, she has collaborated with numerous national newspapers, including Il Manifesto, L'Avvenire, and La Stampa, as well as the feminist magazine Via Dogana and the cultural supplement Saturno of Il Fatto Quotidiano. In 2020, she edited "Nessuno di questo mondo ci risulta indifferente" (Interno4 Edizioni), the result of a project promoted by the Laudato sì association, of which she was president. She also edits the series "Lupicattivi. Voci di ecologia integrale" and "Poppieri rossi" for Castelvecchi. The meeting is also suitable for teacher training.
