IL CINE* Festival of Cinema and Landscape 2026, the first event leading up to the main Alba Festival of Cinema and Landscape, which will take place in September.
On March 28 at the Beppe Fenoglio Hall in Alba, there will be a film lecture—open to the public and free of charge (registration required via Eventbrite or directly at the venue)—led by Yuri Ancarani. There will be screenings and engaging discussions, concluding at 5:00 PM with the screening of “Covid Movies,” a collection of videos created by NABA students during the pandemic. The film will have its world premiere in Alba and tells the story of how these young people reacted to the forced lockdown.

On March 29 at the Sala Ordet, "Atlantide" Yuri Ancarani’s latest film, which had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in 2021, will be screened. The film was shot entirely in the Venice lagoon, following a group of young people and their “barchini” (small boats), telling their stories and their loves. The director will be present, along with several guests, and will lead the screening.
