With his quartet, he brings to the stage a jazz style rooted in the 1960s, the golden decade of style and invention. Alongside him are renowned musicians: Alberto Bonacasa on piano, Riccardo Fioravanti on double bass, and Alessandro Casè on drums. A solid, well-oiled ensemble, capable of capturing the atmosphere and depth of one of the most fertile periods in jazz history, with Comeglio's alto saxophone leading the narrative. A concert that doesn't look to the past with nostalgia, but rather inhabits it with full awareness. Opening Aria 5et Giuditta Franco | Vocals _ Edoardo Cian | Electric guitar, efx _ Giulio Tullio | Trombone, efx _ Francesco Bordignon | Double bass Francesco De Tuoni | Drums Ària was born in Siena in 2024 with a precise intention: three instruments—vocals, guitar, trombone—on the same level, none in the foreground, none in the background. A timbral balance constructed to evoke something rarefied, dreamlike, like sounds floating before settling. The arrival of double bass and drums doesn't change the direction, it stabilizes it: a rhythmic carpet on which the intertwining voices and harmonies find space to move between writing and improvisation. In December 2024, the quintet won the eighth edition of the Concorso Tamburini.
