Girls' and Boys' Library: June 2026 Events

June 9 - June 25, 2026 · Casale Monferrato

In June 2026, in preparation for the end of the school year, activities at the Casale Monferrato Girls' and Boys' Library will continue with numerous initiatives aimed at younger children. Below are the scheduled events, following the treasure hunt at the library organized by "Mr. Wolf Academy," which took place on Saturday, June 6th. On Tuesday, June 9th, at 5:00 pm, "Trace Hunt!" will take place along the Lungo Po, near the pier. This activity will be led by Anna Maria Bruno, a nature guide and guide of the Piedmontese Po River Park. She will guide young participants in identifying tracks left by animals living free in the wild (in case of bad weather, the initiative will be postponed). On Thursday, June 11th, at 5:00 pm, the "Horticultural Workshop" will take place, led by Professor Giovanni Ganora, with "Summer Fruits!", which will explore the produce of the summer season, through the explosions of colors, flavors, and aromas that nature offers. On Saturday, June 13th, at 11:00 a.m., in the Monferrato Castle Tower, you can listen to stories of noble knights and their heroic deeds with "The Dressing of the Knight in Arms and in Spirit," hosted by the Order of the Lance. On Tuesday, June 16th and Thursday, June 25th, at 5:00 p.m., "Outdoor Readings in the Citadel!" is a new meeting in the "Born to Read with Storytellers" series, featuring "Stories Read and Discussed," an outdoor event in the Casale Monferrato Citadel, sharing classic children's fiction. On Thursday, June 18th, at 5:00 p.m., the "Spazio Creativity" summer creative workshop, hosted by the "E. Luzzati" Library, will share ideas for summer activities together. On Tuesday, June 23rd, at 5:00 PM, professionals from the "Un Cane per Sorridere Onlus" association in Mirabello Monferrato, along with their four-legged colleagues, will be among the children to explain how to properly interact with dogs and how they communicate their intentions, needs, and emotions. "Amico Cane" will allow children to experience the benefits of Animal-Assisted Interventions (formerly known as "pet therapy"). "Favoleggiando, girovagando" (Favoleggiando, girovagando) will continue a busy schedule of visits and workshops at the Children's Library with local schools and with traveling readings at institutions within the Monferrato Library System until June 26th. All events are free to attend. Materials for the workshops will be provided by the library. Reservations are required to participate in the initiatives by emailing biblioluzzati@comune.casalemonferrato.al.it or by calling 0142.444302 or 0142.444308.
