On Sunday 8th November Canelli will host the National Truffle Fair and the San Martin Fair: the former dedicated to local food and wine excellence, the latter featuring over 100 stalls selling a wide variety of goods.
The National Truffle Fair aims to promote the white truffle (Tuber Magnatum Pico), whose characteristics are well known and highly prized.
Corso Libertà will be the heart of the event, animated by stalls selling excellent food products and the Pala-Tartufo, which will host the White Truffle exhibition and competition with awards for the best specimens and refined food and wine tastings.
Numerous experiences are on offer: nature walks with simulated truffle hunting, sensory analysis of white truffles, guided tours of the city, and activities for children.
The day is rounded off by the Luna Park in Piazza Gancia and the food stands of the Fiera di San Martin, offering traditional local dishes and flavors.
