On Friday 24 April, to mark the 81st anniversary of Liberation Day, ANPI Alba-Bra is organising a torchlit procession that will pass through the key sites of the Resistance in Alba.
Programme:
8.30 pm: meeting point and distribution of torches in the car park adjacent to Parco Sobrino.
8.40 pm: the procession sets off, crossing Corso Europa, Corso Piave and the railway bridge, and proceeding along Via Einaudi, Piazza Ferrero, Via Vittorio Emanuele II and Piazza Risorgimento.
9.15 pm: arrival in front of the Town Hall for a ceremony and celebration.
The evening will be hosted by Nicola Conti. Speeches are scheduled by Alberto Gatto, Mayor of Alba; Michele Cauda, President of ANPI Alba-Bra; and Chiara Colombini, historian and researcher at Istoreto.
Musical entertainment provided by the “Ars et Labor” band from Alba and the “Arzigh” band from Magliano Alfieri.
