Ninth Edition – The Fantasy Festival, now in its ninth year, ushers in spring with a sense of wonder: poetry in motion, surreal comedy, street art, and acrobatics light up the Monferrato hills. Frassinello Monferrato Green Area – MagdaClan Tent Monday, March 30th and Tuesday, March 31st – 10:30 am “BALLS DON’T LIE” – MagdaClan Circus (Alessandro Maida) Morning shows for schools and the public Ticket €5 – reservations required Matinee shows for students from local schools and open to all citizens. In a world populated only by spherical objects, a character half-man, half-dung beetle lives with a profound obsession for roundness. With large, dreamy eyes and his head always in the air, he plays and dances among his many spherical creatures, ceaselessly building and unmaking his own little universes. A solitary king of his chaotic world and a tamer of fragile balances, he is our hero of the ephemeral, a true imaginative manipulator. Balls dOn’t liE is a show balancing disorder, perfection, and madness. Friday, April 3 Frassinello M.to Green Area 7:30 PM AperiPizza 9:00 PM "NESSUNO" Giorgio Bertolotti Tickets: €15 full price / €12 reduced price / €10 children* Reservations required Nessuno is the story of a homeless man who lives in the world and moves among the garbage. Alternating moments of comedy and melancholy, it leads the audience to reflect on what is truly necessary and how every life, even the most invisible, can shine with meaning. A clown soul in a body constantly searching for balance, who loves to live in the present by playing with the simplest actions, will take you on a journey into his imagination. 7:15 PM – Presentation by Sami Hallac of the Palestinian Arab Democratic Union 7:30 PM – Aperitif with music by the Aikar Orkestra 9:00 PM – “IN DIFFERENCE” by Marica Marinoni & Jef Everaert Tickets: €15 / €12 / €10 – Reservations required Jef and Marica clash with their differences, their different ways of thinking and seeing the world. Finding common ground for this unlikely pair seems impossible. Too different to align, too close to ignore each other. What does it mean to be two without confusing each other? Can we coexist without compromise and without hierarchies? “In Difference” doesn't offer an answer; it seeks it in performance.
