From Saturday, September 19, through Sunday, October 4, the Confraternita San Giovanni dei Battuti Neri in Novello will host the exhibition “You Were So Cute as a Child—Portraits of Women Out of Place.” The exhibition features photographic portraits of 20 women from the past and present who have fought—and continue to fight today—for gender equality and women’s rights, all hand-embroidered by artist Chiara Tarditi.
Opening Saturday, September 19, at 5:00 p.m.
Opening hours: Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. and 4–7 p.m. – Free admission
Two wonderful events are also planned for the exhibition’s closing:
Saturday, October 3, from 3 to 6 p.m.: Embroidery workshop on photographs
Sunday, October 4, at 4 p.m.: Free family show “Frida Kahlo: A Garden of Dreams”
