The historic Casale Monferrato Fair returns again this year, from March 13th to 22nd. Organized by D&N Eventi s.r.l., it is sponsored by the Piedmont Region, the City of Casale Monferrato, the Province of Alessandria, the Province of Mantua, the Union of Municipalities of Valcerrina, Asproflor Comuni Fioriti, and in partnership with Confidare, Confartigianato Imprese Alessandria, Confagricoltura Alessandria, Coniolo Fiori, and Vivai Varallo, with sponsor Alma Carpets S.p.A. The event has now been renamed a "National Fair" for two years. As always, it will be held in conjunction with Luna Park, one of the largest in Italy, located in the majestic Piazza d'Armi adjacent to the Exhibition Center. As in previous years, admission to the public is free and the route will be reversed on alternate days. More than 150 exhibitors from across the country are attending the event, including many Made in Italy excellences that have received awards at other prestigious events. "The 2026 edition presents itself under the guiding theme of 'Territories, Traditions, Tastes, and Lifestyles,' which builds a bridge between the local area where it takes place but also looks beyond, to broader scenarios, offering a diverse selection of tastes, flavors, and traditions, yet without sacrificing its roots," explains Nicoletta Cardillo, director of D&N Eventi, along with partners Daniela Cattaneo and Rossella Frenna. "That's why, in addition to our presence in the exhibition spaces, we're presenting a rich program of collateral events. So, while it's significant that the Union of Municipalities of Valcerrina is presenting its own project at the Fair, the bridge to South Korea at the Kotalia stand is equally significant." Casale Monferrato Mayor Emanuele Capra emphasizes: "Each new edition of the Mostra di San Giuseppe represents an eagerly awaited moment, uniting our community around an event capable of renewing itself while remaining true to its roots. It is an event that reflects Casale Monferrato's identity, its vitality, and its ability to welcome visitors and families with an increasingly curated and comprehensive exhibition program. The strength of this event lies in its popular character, the involvement of local businesses and associations, and the ongoing dialogue between tradition and evolution, elements that make it a staple of the city's calendar. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to D&N Eventi for their dedication to organizing it: their constant work allows the city to present itself at its best and offer an initiative that confirms its value every year." Among the new additions, we highlight the presence of two restaurants among the flagships of the food and wine excellences present at the event; both exhibitors have won important international awards at other prominent events. Throughout the various days, they will serve excellent dishes and wines from Piedmontese and Sardinian cuisine, so for this 77th edition, the Restaurant Area will double in size to delight even the most discerning palates. Among the food and wine delights present throughout the 10 days, stands will be set up featuring ethnic delicacies from various countries: Spanish (paella, sangria), Argentine (empanadas and other typical products), Mexican, Vietnamese, and Romanian. These will accompany, as every year, the excellent Italian food products present in all the areas dedicated to "excellent food," ranging from various types of wines to sweet and savory specialties, cured meats and cheeses, and typical dishes and specialties from Sicily, Puglia, Tuscany, Lazio, Lombardy, Sardinia, Marche, Liguria, Campania, Piedmont, and Trentino. Prestigious craft breweries will also be present, bringing together a riot of flavors and colors. This year, the following are confirmed: the new morning opening hours on both Saturdays, March 14th and 21st, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. instead of 3:00 p.m., as well as the addition of seating in the Piazzetta del Gusto and Piazza del Vino, considered the event's focus areas along with the Food and Beverage Area. Many local, national, and some international merchants, businesses, and artisans will also be participating and offering the public quality products and services, including Egyptian companies offering balms, ointments, fine essences, and perfumes, and Kotalia, which will promote South Korean culture and traditions with its own booth, demonstrating that this Fair continues to expand boundaries and horizons. Furthermore, as has been the case every year for some time now, there will be an area dedicated to specific formats that could give rise to future trade fairs, confirming that the Mostra di San Giuseppe, in addition to being a prestigious multi-sector event, can also be considered an interesting incubator of ideas. This edition features two related offerings: one dedicated to the world of brides, with a dedicated area featuring various wedding planning companies, and the other inspired by the October Fest, featuring a large stand offering traditional Bavarian decorations, beer, and food. Another new feature, which will take a leap into history, will be the area dedicated to artistic craftsmanship, with an exhibition of medieval and Renaissance re-enactment costumes, demonstrating once again that this event looks to the future while never forgetting the past. A special mention goes to the 29th edition of Arteinfiera, a contemporary art exhibition held inside the San Giuseppe, conceived and curated since 1995 by painter and art critic Piergiorgio Panelli. This year's title is "Look Inside My Eyes," inspired by a text by Roberto Vecchioni. During the ten days of the fair, the events hall located within the exhibition center where the event is held will host meetings, conferences, and musical performances. On Thursday, March 19th, from 6:00 PM onward, a prominent figure from the world of cinema, writer, essayist, and director Federico Moccia, will be a guest, as well as other surprises. Also in the Fair's Events Space, the PEM – Parole e Musica in Monferrato music festival will be presented on Tuesday, March 17th at 6:30 pm, organized by the Municipality of San Salvatore. On Sunday, March 15th at 11:30 am, the project "Verde Comune Monferrato" (Green Municipality of Monferrato) by Asproflor Comuni Fioriti will be presented. On Saturday, March 21st, there will be an illustration and the first session of the "Smart Generation" project, led by the Municipality of Odalengo Grande, the municipalities of the Unione della Valcerrina, and the Unione Valcerrina itself. Nordic Walking will take center stage, with instructor Augusto Cavallo leading the meeting "Nordic Walking is Health" on Wednesday, March 18th at 6:30 pm. The Circolo Subacqueo Casale returns with a lecture on Saturday, March 21st, starting at 2:00 PM, by Professor Stefano Schiapparelli on "Scientific Diving in Antarctica and the Tropics: Discoveries and Challenges in the Age of Artificial Intelligence." And there will also be plenty of musical entertainment: Saturday, March 14th at 9:00 PM with the Nebulosa Rock Band, Sunday, March 15th at 3:30 PM with the "Grandi Artisti Canori" presented by Federico Marchese, "Alza il Volume" by the Amici della Musica Carlo Soliva ETS on Friday, March 20th at 8:00 PM, then Smokin' Mojo will perform on Saturday, March 21st at 9:00 PM, and on Sunday, March 22nd at 4:00 PM, the CEM – Centro Esperienze Musicali.
