Jazz. A Story in Black and White. Photos by Stefano Galvani

A sensory journey into the beating heart of music, captured through the lens of a master: the photography exhibition "Jazz. A Photographic Story in Black and White" by Stefano Galvani promises to be an unmissable event for lovers of photography and jazz music. The exhibition, which is inspired by his acclaimed latest book, offers an intimate and powerful look at the world of jazz, celebrating this art in all its forms over a journey spanning more than thirty years. The exhibition, organized by the municipality of Conzano, presents a curated selection of black and white photographs that embody the very essence of jazz: improvisation, emotion, rhythm. The images, imbued with a timeless atmosphere, capture the soul of the artists, their gestures, expressions, and the vibrant energy of their live performances. Stefano Galvani, a renowned photographer who has collaborated with prestigious magazines such as Musica Jazz and who is also the artistic director of musical seasons such as the one held in Milan at the Soho Cafè, has distilled decades of passion for jazz into a body of work that goes beyond visual documentation, becoming an artistic experience in itself. His book, Jazz. A Story in Black and White, has been greeted with enthusiastic reviews since its publication in Panorama, cementing his reputation as one of the most sensitive photographers capable of narrating music through images. The exhibition is a unique opportunity to appreciate Galvani's talent up close and to re-appreciate once again the eternal allure of jazz. The inauguration will take place on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Villa Vidua in Conzano at 4:00 PM. Stefano Galvani will be present for a brief book presentation and exhibition in conversation with Alberto Deambrogio and with musical performances by the Vitali, Cognetti, Delli Falconi Trio (Andrea Vitali, trumpet, Luca Cognetti, guitar, Ignazio Delli Falconi, double bass). The exhibition will then be open to the public on Sunday, March 15 and 22, from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
