The first has long been a privilege of the wealthier social classes, while the second is the "working-class" sport but, after all, what is a football match if not a show in which players and audience experience ninety minutes of collective excitement? A dance tribute to the art of football, by the Norwegian choreographer Jo Strømgren, pays tribute to and investigates a sport which has no rivals, staging competitive spirit, frustration, anger and joy. On stage continuously since 2009, this performance uses invented language and voice-overs which also make it accessible to an international audience.
