The Ferrero Foundation and the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation present “DA VICINO. Lessons and itineraries for contemporary art”, a project combining words, images and walks to mark the run-up to Alba’s year as Italian Capital of Contemporary Art 2027.

Four lectures on art from the 1960s to the present day:

Tuesday 20 October, 6.15 pm: “Beyond the surface. Space in art” – Alessandro Botta
Tuesday 3 November, 6.15 pm: “Engaging with the artwork” – Orietta Brombin
Tuesday 17 November, 6.15 pm: “Beyond the frame: when art becomes earth, tree and breath” – Francesca Comisso
Two guided tours of outdoor sculptures and installations:
Saturday 17 October, 3.00–6.30 pm: The works of Petrit Halilaj in Dogliani and Ivan Argote in Bene Vagienna for Radis, a programme by the Fondazione Arte CRT
Saturday 24 October, 3.00–6.30 pm: The works at the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Art Park, Guarene – a major collection of open-air artworks
