14 novembre 2026 · Barolo

The Barolo and Great Wines of Langa Route and the Alba White Truffle International Fair Organization are promoting an initiative of international significance: From November 13 to 15, 2026, a delegation of institutions and producers from Spain’s Rioja wine region will visit the Langhe, with the goal of jointly promoting two regions at the pinnacle of the global wine world, representing the pinnacle of red wine excellence in Italy and Spain, respectively.

Among the scheduled activities, on Saturday, November 14, at 9:30 a.m. at the WiMu —the Wine Museum in Barolo—an important agronomic conference is scheduled, organized in collaboration with the Consorzio di Tutela Barolo Barbaresco Alba Langhe e Dogliani: an extraordinary occasion that will give Piedmontese wine producers the opportunity to exchange ideas with their Spanish colleagues, analyzing the methods currently in use and being tested in both regions to address rising temperatures in the vineyards.

The conference is open to all wineries and interested professionals: admission is free, subject to availability. Registration is required; the program can be found at this linkExternal link

Following that, at 4:30 p.m., a high-level masterclass on the dual theme of Rioja & Barolo is scheduled, featuring a guided tasting of 8 wines: 4 Barolo DOCG wines from selected M.G.A. areas and 4 Rioja DOCa wines.

A journey to explore two great appellations, Rioja DOCa and Barolo DOCG, united by their historical prestige and extraordinary ability to evolve over time, rooted in a grape variety with a strong sense of identity tied to a specific territory.

The initiative is organized with the support of: the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato Wine-Growing Landscapes Association, the Barolo & Castles Foundation, and BPER Banca.
