How well do we know Monferrato? To answer this question, simply participate in the new initiative promoted by the S.O.M.S. of Castelletto Merli, which is about to launch the "Monferriadi," or "The Monferrato Quiz." On Friday, September 11th, starting at 9:15 pm at the headquarters at Via Godio 43 in Castelletto Merli, the evening will feature a fun team game with questions focusing on the Monferrato region as a whole, including general knowledge topics accessible to everyone, such as food and wine, sports, nature, history and legends, geography, and Monferrato chronicles. The aim of the event is to create a new, fun opportunity for those who live or visit Monferrato to gather together, increasing their knowledge of this land through a playful and healthy competitive format. Teams with imaginative names or the name of their hometown or village are welcome, to add a touch of parochialism to the challenge. How can you participate in the "Monferriadi"? Each team can consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 members. You can register at the beginning of the evening or send an email in advance to somscastellettomerli@tiscali.it. Those arriving without a team can find allies among those in attendance to take part in the quiz by creating a name for their team. The completely free registration will encourage free participation in the initiative, which will also include dessert and beverage service for those in attendance throughout the evening. Even the weather won't be able to affect the Monferriadi: the event will take place in the welcoming outdoor space of the S.O.M.S., but in case of inclement weather, guests can take shelter in the comfortable indoor room. As with all quizzes, there will be prizes: the team that accumulates the most points by correctly answering the most questions will win awards donated by local businesses and retailers. The prizes up for grabs are specifically geared toward experiences and vouchers for activities and purchases that will allow the winners to better explore local food, wine, and retail businesses, thus authentically promoting the local production and business landscape. This new initiative is part of the S.O.M.S.'s rich program of events, which aim to create opportunities for meeting and socializing throughout the year. In this case, the focus is on games, but without ever neglecting the importance of understanding and promoting the region and engaging with local businesses.
