Church of San Paolo, opposite the Town Hall (Sundays 10:15 am - 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm): Built in the mid-16th century for the Barnabite Fathers by architect Lorenzo Binago, it houses splendid paintings by Guglielmo Caccia, known as Moncalvo, including "The Conversion of Saint Paul," "The Beheading," and "The Assumption." Also noteworthy is the ornate chapel—built in the mid-17th century—to the right of the entrance, modeled after the Holy House of Loreto. Monferrato Military-Historical Trail (organized by the Coordination of Armed Forces Associations, at Via Martiri di Nassiriya 8): Sundays from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, featuring an interesting and extensive collection of documents and photographs held by the Coordination. The three-story building displays an interesting and vast historical, documentary, book, and artistic heritage related to the history of the Alpine troops. It will also be possible to participate in a free walk led by volunteers from the Orizzonte Casale association, lasting approximately two hours, to discover the city's main monuments. Meet at the kiosk in Piazza Castello (in front of the Municipal Theater) on Sunday at 3:30 pm. The following museums will also be open over the weekend: Civic Museum and Bistolfi Plaster Cast Gallery (admission fee applies) on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Located in the former Convent of Santa Croce, frescoed in the early 17th century by Guglielmo Caccia, known as Moncalvo, it includes the Pinacoteca (Art Gallery), with an exhibition of approximately 250 paintings and sculptures, and the Leonardo Bistolfi Plaster Cast Gallery, one of the few Italian institutions capable of illustrating the entire creative journey of a sculptor, thanks to its rich collection of works by the symbolist master—originally from Casale—who achieved international fame. The underground room houses the Carlo Vidua collection, featuring travel accounts collected by the Monferrato traveler during three long journeys around the world in the early 19th century. In the Vitoli Hall on the first floor, the exhibition "Here Italy is Made. The Figure of the Hero from Bistolfi to Baroni" is open until June 28th: a fascinating journey through masterpieces, previously unseen sculptures, and restorations that recount the figure of the hero from Garibaldi to the first three decades of the 20th century. To mark this important exhibition, the Museum is organizing an in-depth tour: a guided tour of the exhibition led by museum staff will be held on Saturday, April 11th, at 4:00 PM. The cost will be €4, in addition to the entrance fee. The Synagogue and Jewish Museums will be open on Sunday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, with an admission fee. Built in 1595, a monument of great historical and artistic interest, the Jewish Temple today presents itself in its Piedmontese Baroque-Rococo splendor (1700-1800). The Jewish Museums are adjacent, displaying numerous silverware, textiles, and religious objects. The Cathedral Museum and attics will be open to visitors on Saturday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The attics will be accessible with fixed access times of 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 5:00 PM. Reservations are appreciated. Please call 3929388505 or email antipodescasale@gmail.com.
