In April 2026, after the Easter weekend, activities at the Casale Monferrato Girls' and Boys' Library will continue with numerous initiatives aimed at children, including in conjunction with the project dedicated to the renowned author and illustrator Attilio Cassinelli, currently underway at the Castello del Monferrato. Below are the events scheduled for the month just begun. A series of readings will be held on Tuesday, April 7th, Thursday, April 9th, Tuesday, April 21st, and Thursday, April 23rd at 5:00 pm as part of the exhibition "Attilio. The Children's Castle," part of the "Born to Read with Storytellers" series. On Tuesday, April 14th at 5:00 pm, the "Horticultural Workshop" led by Professor Giovanni Ganora will take place. The workshop will focus on the most popular beverages, their properties, and the plants from which they originate. It will also include numerous notions and curiosities, including a final practical application. On Thursday, April 16th, starting at 5:00 PM, "Ma che bel castello marcondirondirondello" (What a Beautiful Castle Marcondirondirondello), an initiative organized in collaboration with the "Orizzonti Casale" Association, will feature a meeting from the "A Stroll Through Geography" series, titled "Carlo Vidua di Conzano," which will focus on the illustrious Monferrato native who traveled, explored, collected, and tirelessly promoted the creation of the Egyptian Museum of Turin. On Saturday, April 18th, starting at 3:00 PM, a creative writing meeting will be offered, during which boys and girls will take on the role of detectives who, aided by a series of clues, must find an ending. "Find the Guilty!" will be led by Daniela Mazzoni, author of the book "Lo strano rubato del Gatto con Sette Dita" (The Strange Theft of the Cat with Seven Fingers), a children's mystery set in 3025 and recounting a strange theft at the museum. Tuesday, April 28th at 5:00 PM, "Creativity Space," a creative workshop initiative featuring hands-on activities, will offer young readers the opportunity to model clay to create a floral relief painting. On Thursday, April 30th at 5:00 PM, a new meeting in the "Born to Read with Storytellers" series will feature "Stories Read and Discussed," a gathering to share classic children's fiction. "Favoleggiando, girovagando" will continue a busy schedule of visits and workshops at the Children's Library with local schools and with traveling readings at institutions within the Monferrato Library System until April 30th. All events are free to attend. Materials for the workshops will be provided by the library.
