On Thursday, June 11, at 4:00 p.m., in the historic halls of the Hotel Calissano in Alba, a conference titled “Barbaresco and Art: Visions and Resonances” will be held, featuring Professor Armando Castagno as the speaker.
A unique voice in the wine world, Castagno has successfully combined his two degrees—one in Law and one in Art History—into a narrative of wine that speaks to the most discerning enthusiasts without excluding those who approach the world of wine with caution.
As part of the conference, the Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco, organizer of the keynote lecture dedicated to the parallels between Wine and Art, will bestow upon Armando Castagno the title of “The Voice of Barbaresco • Vintage 2023,” thereby making him the global ambassador for the new vintage of Barbaresco DOCG. This is no coincidence, as it coincides with the publication of his latest book, “Le vigne del Barbaresco,” a monograph that describes the cultural context of Barbaresco DOCG in prose that does not merely explain Barbaresco, but aims to make it felt. The book will be available for purchase during the conference.
