CON.COR.D.A. / COMPAGNIA FRANCESCA SELVA - SECONDO MATTEO The first piece in the Suspended Time Trilogy, Secondo Matteo is inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach's St. Matthew Passion and suggests a connection with the most intense emotions the musical score can convey. The Passion becomes an intimate and personal tale set in an everyday dimension. This vision of the Passion suggests that tragedy is not extraordinary, but inhabits our normality. Through the body and movement, a subtle, almost imperceptible restlessness emerges, permeating an existence that is only apparently stable. Secondo Matteo is the moment when the fracture announces itself: not as an explosion, but as a slow slide, as the awareness that nothing is truly safe. BALLET OF SARDINIA - IKARO Ikaro is a symbol, the exhilaration of flight and the longing for freedom that every human being yearns for; it is the escape from the monstrous fears we have captured by taking refuge in them. It's a reckless ascent, a transcendence of limits, a choice to perform actions beyond one's strength. On themes of freedom, social imposition, inner fears, failure, and rebirth, Ikaro emerges as a work rich in visual suggestions and references to myth. Amid dystopian environments, emotional sounds, futuristic apparitions, and furious and fragile bodies, symbols transform into powerful choreographies, myth into a metaphor for the contemporary, and wings into a language of identity that becomes flesh on stage.
