October 4th is the feast day of St Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of Italy, and this year it has once again become a public holiday. So the Alfieri Vespa Club of Asti has organised the 21st Regional Rally, entitled "San Francesco in Vespa".
Here is the lovely programme for the day:
8.00 am Meet at the Village in "Parco della Certosa" square, near Via dell’Arazzeria in Asti. Registration to follow.
10.00 am Inauguration and blessing of the mural "Gli Alfieri in Vespa’" located in the Rotonda on Via Spandre, donated by the Vespa Club Alfieri to the city of Asti
11.15 am: Departure for the scenic tour of the Monferrato hills, approximately 30 km
12.00 pm: Arrival in Scurzolengo… followed by an aperitif and the awards ceremony for the participating clubs…
1.00 pm: “Pranzo Francescano” in the historic hall of the former nursery school
3.00 pm Farewells & see you at the next “Alfieri” Rally!
