The ground floor of Palazzo dei Conti Ricci houses the “Gypsum” exhibition, curated by Fra Guglielmo Massaia Association. The temporary exhibition traces the history of gypsum from its geological formation to its use in the characteristic decorated ceilings of the Lower Monferrato region. In collaboration with the Gypsum Museum of Moncucco Torinese, MAGMAX of Asti, and the inhabitants of Piovà Massaia and neighboring villages, the exhibition brings together mineral samples, some of which can also be observed under a microscope, original fragments of ceilings, and international curiosities thanks to concessions from the Missionary Ethnological Museum of Castelnuovo Don Bosco.
Open on Saturday and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6.30 pm
