In Albugnano (AT), in the evocative setting of the Rectory of Santa Maria di Vezzolano, we will once again reflect on the relationship between sky and earth, religion and astronomy, art and spirituality.
On Saturday, June, 28th from 9.45am to 1pm, the conference "Christ and Mary, Sun and Moon, Symbolisms and Icons in Religious Languages from Augustine to Galileo" will be held, an appointment that combines scientific expertise and theological sensitivity to explore the symbolic richness of the Romanesque hillside. Don Luca Peyron wll speak with "Boundless. How Heaven spoke to Earth. A journey from Sacred Scripture to the modern dialogue between science and faith", while at 11:40am Laura Mazzoli and Stefano Picceni will speak with Filippo Masino and Antonello Figus with "Mary Announced and Queen: from Vezzolano iconographic paths through time." In Collina Association will introduce.
This will be followed by the opening on Sept. 20th at 8:30pm of the Exhibition "Luce Luna e Sole a Vezzolano" and at 9:00pm Vocal Concert by Ensemble Novi Cantores Torino with medieval Marian repertoire, contemporary and literary pieces.
From July to October there will also be three guided tours followed by astronomical observations of the sky with expert astrophiles:
